The number of Ohioans age 60 and older is projected to increase by 33.4% between 2010 and 2030. As Ohio’s aging population grows, there are increasing concerns about how to improve the health and well-being of older adults.

This forum will explore challenges faced by older Ohioans, assess the impact of COVID-19 and provide evidence-informed strategies that state and local partners can use to ensure that all Ohioans live longer, healthier lives.

Speakers:

  • Ursel McElroy, Director, Ohio Department of Aging
  • Katie Smith Sloan, President and CEO, LeadingAge and Executive Director, The Global Ageing Network
  • Kim Kehl, Trauma-Informed Care Project Coordinator, Ohio Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services
  • Dr. Holly Holtzen, State Director, AARP Ohio
