In order to be healthy, we all need the opportunity to earn a sufficient income and live in affordable, safe housing. As health departments, providers and insurers increasingly are held accountable for improving population health, the need to address poverty and foster economic vitality becomes even more important. This forum explores state policy options to improve health outcomes and health equity by increasing economic development, labor force participation and income mobility.
