Ohio Family Health Survey results to be released March 16

The results of the 2008-2009 Ohio Family Health Survey, one of the largest state health status surveys in the United States, will be released at a public forum at noon, Monday, March 16, at the Makoy Center in Hilliard.

Jerry Friedman of the Ohio State University Medical Center and William Hayes of the Health Policy Institute of Ohio will unveil state and county profiles that will provide key data and information to policymakers, media and others interested in the health status of Ohioans.

The forum is the first public discussion of the findings from the 2008-2009 OFHS - which includes results from interviews with more than 50,000 Ohio households. Information from the survey is consistently a key resource, if not the most important health-related data resource, for state and local policymakers who develop the state biennial budget, design community programs, apply for federal funds and work to improve health outcomes for all Ohioans.

The event is free, but registration is required by visiting this link.
