Gallup study: Ohio eighth most obese state in the nation

A new Gallup report found that in 2013 Ohio wass the eighth most-obese state in the nation (Source: “Ohio among top 10 most-obese states,” Dayton Business Journal, March 7, 2014).

The study found that 31 percent of Ohioans are obese, well above the national average of 27.1 percent. The most obese state was Mississippi (35 percent of its residents obese), followed by West Virginia and Delaware. The least obese state was Montana (20 percent of its residents obese), followed by Colorado and Nevada.
