Ohio Senate budget hearing focuses on payment reform efforts

The Kasich administration and health care organizations, including the Health Policy Institute of Ohio, updated lawmakers in a Senate budget hearing Thursday about payment reform efforts improve health outcomes and control health care costs, thereby improving health value in Ohio (Source: “Senate Budget Hearing Focuses on Health Care Payment Reform,” The Hannah Report, April 26, 2013).


The Governor’s Office of Health Transformation Director Greg Moody led the discussion about the Governor's Advisory Council on Health Care Payment Innovation before the Senate Finance Medicaid Subcommittee, and was  joined by HPIO President Amy Rohling McGee; Dr. Craig Thiele, medical director of CareSource; Jeff Biehl, president of Access HealthColumbus; and Craig Brammer, who leads health transformation efforts for three Cincinnati organizations and used to work in the Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology.
