HPIO releases Public Health Basics

The Health Policy Institute of Ohio has released the latest in its series of "Basics" policy briefs: Ohio Public Health Basics (pdf, 29 pages).

Modeled after HPIO's popular Ohio Medicaid Basics, the paper provides an overview of public health in Ohio. Among the topics covered in Ohio Public Health Basics are how public health is structured and funded at the state and local levels in Ohio; public health's role in improving population health and controlling health care costs; and public health priorities for the 21st Century.

A two-page executive summary of Ohio Public Health Basics is also available.
