CMS estimates Medicare drug costs to jump in Ohio next year
The 1.8 million Ohioans covered by Medicare could pay more for prescription drugs next year, according to new data from the federal Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Serivices (Source: "Cost for many Medicare drug plans to increase in 2013," Akron Beacon Journal, Sept. 19, 2012).
Next years Ohio seniors will be able to select from 33 Medicare prescription drug plans, the same number as this year. However, about half of the plans available statewide next year will have higher monthly costs than this year.
