HPIO conference in May to highlight Ohio innovation

The Health Policy Institute of Ohio will be hosting in May its inaugural Health Innovations in Ohio conference highlighting Ohio-based projects that demonstrate promise for reducing costs while improving health.

The purpose of the conference, which will take place from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. on May 3 at the Conference Center at NorthPointe in Lewis Center, is to showcase promising practices and innovative health policy solutions that will help to improve health and reduce costs, and to equip and motivate policymakers and other stakeholders to build upon the successful efforts that are already being implemented in Ohio.

The luncheon keynote address will be given by Dr. Arnold Milstein, MD, MPH. Milstein is Professor of Medicine and Director of the Clinical Excellence Research Center at Stanford University; Medical Director of the Pacific Business Group on Health; U.S. Health Care Thought Leader at Mercer Health & Benefits; and co-founder of both the Leapfrog Group and the Consumer-Purchaser Disclosure Project.
