HPIO conference in May to highlight Ohio innovation

The Health Policy Institute of Ohio will be hosting in May its inaugural Health Innovations in Ohio conference highlighting Ohio-based projects that demonstrate promise for reducing costs while improving health. 

The conference will take place from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. on May 3 at the Conference Center at NorthPointe in Lewis Center. The presenting sponsor for the conference is AARP Ohio.

The purpose of the conference is to educate policymakers and stakeholders on what health-related efforts are working in Ohio. The event will include several panel discussions focused on innovations in the following areas: health and wellness; quality improvement; access to care; care coordination; and outcomes-based payment.

The luncheon keynote address will be given by Dr. Arnold Milstein, MD, MPH. Milstein is Professor of Medicine and Director of the Clinical Excellence Research Center at Stanford University; Medical Director of the Pacific Business Group on Health; U.S. Health Care Thought Leader at Mercer Health & Benefits; and co-founder of both the Leapfrog Group and the Consumer-Purchaser Disclosure Project.
