Conference to highlight 2010 Ohio Family Health Survey research, Ohio Employer Health Survey release

The Ohio Colleges of Medicine, Government Resource Center, is planning to host an all-day conference later this month to highlight sponsored research from the 2010 Ohio Family Health Survey and the release of data from the inaugural Ohio Employer Health Benefit Survey.

The event will take place from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. on July 29 at the Mid-Ohio Foodbank in Grove City. Click here to register for the event

“Besides providing a wealth of health survey information, an important goal of the 2010 Ohio Family Health Survey (OFHS) was to fund several research projects that would address contemporary health care issues using the survey data,” according to the invitation to the event. “In addition, the Employer Health Benefit Survey (OEHS), a survey of 2200 Ohio employers, was recently conducted.  The conference will report findings from the research projects and preliminary OEHS results.”

The Ohio Family Health Survey Executive Committee has recently conducted a companion survey of employers, the Ohio Employer Health Survey (OEHS). The OEHS, which was a mail survey with telephone follow-up calls, will have sufficient sample size to allow state level estimations, including comparisons between firms of different sizes.
