Safety Net forum to be held in Columbus

The HealthPath Foundation of Ohio is planning a “Strengthening Ohio’s Safety Net” forum from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Thursday April 28 at the Columbus Renaissance Hotel.

“Strengthening Ohio's Safety Net, also known as SOS Net, is a new Foundation initiative with two goals: to improve health care access for underserved populations within the Foundation's 36-county service area (with a primary focus on rural areas) and to enhance the distribution and diversity of the health care workforce,” according to an announcement from the HealthPath Foundation.

Among those scheduled to present at the event are Ohio Department of Health Director Dr. Ted Wymyslo, Randy Runyon from the Ohio Association of Community Health Centers, and Tom Curtin and Shawn Frick from the National Association of Community Health Centers.
