CORRECTION: Ohio Medicaid Basics 2011

The expiration date for the enhanced FMAP rate reported in the executive summary of Ohio Medicaid Basics 2011 was incorrect. The eFMAP rate will expire on June 30, 2011.

The Sept. 30 date that was included in the executive summary that was released in last week's edition of the Health Policy Review came from a federal Department of Health and Human Services memo that was published in the Federal Registrer when the FY2011 standard FMAP rate was announced. A subsequent Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services bulletin clarified the June 30 date.

After that June 30 date, the standard 2011 FMAP rate of 63.69 percent will be in effect until Sept. 30 (the end of the federal fiscal year). The FMAP rate for federal FY2012 has not been established.
