New officers elected to Health Policy Institute of Ohio Board of Directors

Leah Gary has been elected Chair of the Board of Directors of the Health Policy Institute of Ohio.

Gary, who served as Vice Chair of the Board for the past two years, is President of the William J. and Dorothy K. O'Neill Foundation in Cleveland. She is a registered nurse and holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in nursing from the Frances Payne Bolton School of Nursing at Case Western Reserve University and a diploma in nursing from Fairview General Hospital School of Nursing.

She succeeds Donald Hoffman, the President and Chief Executive Officer of The Health Foundation of Greater Cincinnati, who had served as Board Chair since 2005.

Other elected officers include Joseph San Filippo, Chief Health Care Strategist for Nationwide Better Health in Columbus, who was elected Vice Chair and Dawn Miller, Program Officer for the Sisters of Charity Foundation of Canton, who was re-elected Secretary. Gregory Halley, Commissioner of the Wayne County Combined General Health District, was re-elected Treasurer.
