Ohio health care experts remain optimistic about health care affordability

Health-care economist Robert Caswell, a professor emeritus at Ohio State’s College of Public Health, said he remains optimistic about the future of health care coverage in the United States, citing the fact that the business community has expressed a sincere interest in tackling the problem (Source: “Affordable health care elusive for many, though optimism builds,” Columbus Business First, July 28, 2008).

In interviews with Caswell and a diverse collection of other stakeholders, Columbus Business First found that achieving health care affordability may be daunting, but many, like Caswell, still remain optimistic that it can be achieved in Ohio and nationwide.
