Kaiser Foundation offers online tutorial on measuring health care quality

The Kaiser Family Foundation has created a new online resource to assist policymakers and others interested in improving health care system performance.  This resource is a narrated slide tutorial featuring Carolyn Clancy, M.D., director of the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality in the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. This tutoiral, Measuring Health Care Quality,  presents an overview of the state of health care quality in the U.S, where she explains how quality is measured, discusses the federal role in tracking and measuring health care quality, suggests opportunities for system improvement, and areas for future research and development.
