The Health Policy Institute of Ohio will host an inaugural statewide Health Policy Summit on Thursday Oct. 3, 2024, at the Fawcett Center in Columbus, Ohio. The Summit will provide opportunities to learn about data-driven policy solutions to address Ohio’s greatest health challenges and support the development of new evidence through innovation.
This summit builds on HPIO’s mission to advance evidence-informed policies that improve health, achieve equity, and lead to sustainable healthcare spending in Ohio.
The Summit theme is “Partnering to improve health, well-being and economic vitality."

Attendees can choose from three tracks to hear leaders from throughout Ohio who have implemented promising initiatives in the following areas:
Behavioral health promotion and prevention

Population health equity
- LGBTQ+ health and wellness across the life course

- Community Partnerships with Hospital Systems
- Lessons learned from implementation of a pediatric Medicaid innovation model aimed at improved health outcomes and cost savings in rural and Appalachian Ohio
Workshops
Workshops will provide tactical training and skills. Attendees can choose from the following workshops:
- Using evaluation to move toward equity
- Putting data and evidence tools to work
- Amplifying community voice for advocacy

Reasonable Accommodations: If you require an accommodation to participate in this event, please indicate that on your registration form. HPIO will work with the venue to provide reasonable and necessary accommodations.
Continuing Education (CE): This program is being submitted to the National Association of Social Workers, The Supreme Court of Ohio and National Commission for Health Education Credentialing for 5.0 continuing education credits. In the event the CE applications are not approved, you will receive a full refund for your payment. Individuals signing up to receive CE will need to sign in and sign out at the registration table, and complete an evaluation to receive credit. Failure to do so will result in no credits being awarded. Refunds are not issued for failure to comply with the requirements.
Cancellation Policy: The last day to cancel registration for a full refund is September 20, 2024. Cvent’s processing fee is non-refundable for all cancellation dates and registration types. Cancellations received between September 21, 2024 and September 29, 2024 will be issued a partial refund and a $50 cancellation fee will be withheld. Cancellations made after September 29, 2024 will incur a cancellation fee of $125. If you opted to pay with a check and cancel your registration after September 20, 2024, and have not remitted payment, you will be required to submit a $50 cancellation fee and an invoice will be emailed to you. Those paying with checks who cancel their registration between September 29-October 3, will be required to remit a $125 cancellation fee and an invoice will be emailed to you. Those paying with a check who cancel and do not pay the cancellation fees will be required to pay in advance for any future HPIO events.
