Linking health and wealth: How economic vitality can lead to healthier Ohioans

There are many factors beyond health behaviors and access to healthcare services that impact our health. In order to be healthy, we all need the opportunity to earn a sufficient income and live in affordable, safe housing. This forum explores state policy options to improve health outcomes and health equity by increasing economic development, labor force participation and income mobility.

HPIO has a limited number of PARTIAL scholarships available on a first-come, first-served basis. If you feel that you are unable to defray the cost of admission, please contact Hailey Akah at hakah@hpio.net.

CLE credit: This course will be submitted to the Supreme Court of Ohio Commission on Continuing Legal Education for CLE credit. In the event that approval is denied, HPIO will refund CLE registrants the $35 add-on fee.

CEU credit: This course will be submitted to the National Association of Social Workers for CEU credit. In the event that approval is denied, HPIO will refund CEU registrants the $10 add-on fee.

Cancellation Policy: Cancellations must be made in writing to Hailey Akah at hakah@hpio.net. The last day to cancel registration for a full refund is one week prior to the event (July 20, 2016). A cancellation fee of $15 will be deducted from your refund for all cancellations received after July 20. If you do not send us notification of cancellation prior to the event on July 27, you will be required to remit the full amount of the registration fee. Those who do not remit payment will be required to pay in advance for any future events.

Note for State Employees and Legislators: Forum registration fee can be waived for all State of Ohio executive branch employees, legislators and staff. However, state employees, legislators and staff that are reportable persons should note that their attendance at the event is subject to JLEC disclosure if their forum registration fee is waived.

There is no fee waiver for forum registration where CLE is requested.

Reportable persons are required to file a financial disclosure form (FDS) with JLEC. If you are unsure whether or not you are reportable, please consult your legal counsel.
