Ohio could see 130 recreational cannabis dispensaries open in coming months

Ohio could see 130 new recreational cannabis dispensaries open in the coming months (Source: “130 new dispensaries could open in Ohio to sell recreational marijuana,” Columbus Dispatch, June 14).
 
The Division of Cannabis Control received hundreds of applications in recent weeks from medical cannabis businesses that want to enter the adult-use market.
 
There are currently 126 medical cannabis dispensaries in Ohio and 10 others with provisional licenses that aren't open yet. They could start selling both recreational and medical products if the owners apply for dual-use and get approved by the state.
