HPIO seeks intern applicants

HPIO offers part-time, paid ($15/hour) internship opportunities to students who are interested in health policy and who want to learn more about Ohio’s healthcare and public health systems and the various factors that influence health and healthcare spending. An internship at HPIO allows students to gain substantive knowledge of health policy issues and a greater understanding of the health policy landscape, both in Ohio and nationally.

Interns assist the HPIO policy team by conducting research, analyzing and compiling data, and writing, reviewing and editing draft publications. Interns are also encouraged to attend internal staff meetings, board meetings, educational forums, as well as legislative or state agency committee meetings.

HPIO encourages candidates to apply who are people of color, LGBTQ+, have experience living in rural areas and/or poverty, have a disability and are from nontraditional educational backgrounds.
