HPIO releases 2019 Health Value Dashboard
The Health Policy Institute of Ohio has released its 2019 Health Value Dashboard.
The 2019 Dashboard found that Ohio is 46th in the nation in health value, which means Ohioans are less healthy (43rd in population health) and spend more on health care (28th in healthcare spending) than other states.
While Ohio continues to rank in the bottom quartile on health value, there are many evidence-informed opportunities the state can pursue to improve our outcomes, both through policy change and public-private sector collaboration. Improvement is possible, and this year the Dashboard includes more evidence-informed strategies that policymakers can use to address the challenges Ohio faces.
HPIO will be hosting forums in Cincinnati on April 17 and North Canton on April 30 to explore how Ohio can improve its health value.
