HPIO releases updated fact sheet on food insecurity

The Health Policy Institute of Ohio has updated its fact sheet on State Policy Options to Increase Food Security and Access to Healthy Food.

The fact sheet is part of HPIO’s Guide to Improving Health Value, which provides policymakers, community health improvement planners and philanthropy with the best-available sources of evidence for what works to address many of these challenges.

The 2017 HPIO Health Value Dashboard identified food insecurity as one of Ohio’s greatest health challenges. This fact sheet highlights effective strategies to increase food security and improve access to healthy food and nutrition outcomes.
