HPIO forum to explore SHA priorities and state health policy landscape

The Health Policy Institute of Ohio will be hosting its next forum, “What’s on the Horizon for State Health Policy? Acting on priorities from the State Health Assessment,” on Dec. 8 at the Ohio Statehouse Atrium.

As state agencies prepare state budget proposals and the state legislature prepares for the next two-year session, this forum will explore the three priority areas that emerged from Ohio's 2016 State Health Assessment - maternal and infant health; chronic disease; and mental health and addiction. 

Attendees will learn how state and local policies and practices can improve health throughout the life course. Speakers will address opportunities improvements related to healthcare system and access; prevention and addressing social determinants of health.
