Feds propose policy changes to ACA marketplaces
The Obama Administration this week released a brief outlining a series of policy proposals aimed at slowing the tide of insurers leaving ACA marketplace exchanges (Source: “Under pressure from payers, Obama offers Affordable Care Act fixes,” Fierce Healthcare, Aug. 30, 2016).
The 300-page policy brief aims to better balance the risk pool, increase enrollment and cut red tape--making it easier and more profitable for insurers to participate in exchange markets.
