HPIO to host forum on mental health, addiction

The Health Policy Institute of Ohio is hosting a forum in August to discuss the status of mental health and addiction treatment parity in Ohio and the nation. The event will address the questions: what have been the early impacts of the Mental Health Parity and Addiction Equity Act (MHPAEA) on access, utilization, and cost? What challenges remain?

“Beyond mental health and addiction parity: Are Ohioans getting the services they need?” will take place from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Monday, August 31, at the Dublin Integrated Education Center, 6805 Bobcat Way, Dublin, Ohio 43016.

Featured Speakers include:

  • Parity or Disparity: The State of Mental Health in America

Paul Gionfriddo, President and CEO Mental Health America

  • Proposed CMS rules for Medicaid managed care: how might they impact access to Medicaid behavioral health services?

Maureen Corcoran, President, Vorys Health Care Advisors, LLC.
