Ohio Medicaid Expansion Study releases additional county-level data

The Ohio Medicaid Expansion Study has released its latest brief titled “County-level analysis part 2: Local economic impact on employment and general sales tax revenues.” The brief focuses on county-by-county projections of new employment and new local general sales tax revenues due to Medicaid expansion.

The analysis found that every county in Ohio would see an increase in employment because of an expansion of Medicaid and every county would also experience an increase in local general sales tax revenue.

The Ohio Medicaid Expansion Study is a partnership between the Health Policy Institute, the Ohio State University, the Urban Institute and Regional Economic Models, Inc., with funding from the Health Foundation of Greater Cincinnati, the Mt. Sinai Health Care Foundation and the George Gund Foundation.
