81k Ohio families to get insurance rebates

According to data released by the federal Department of Health and Human Services, 81,500 Ohio families are expected to get a share of $11.3 million in rebates from their insurance companies (Source: "Health insurance rebates to go to 81,500 Ohio policyholders," Cleveland Plain Dealer, July 20, 2012).

The average rebate of $139 is expected to be paid this summer as part of an ACA provision limiting the amount of premium dollars insurance companies pay on administrative costs. Nationally, rebates are to total more than $1.1 billion.
