Report: Health cost increases to slow in 2013

An annual report from PricewaterhouseCoopers predicts that health care cost will increase by just 7.5 percent in 2013, a rate that is historically low (Source: “Are we in for a break from health care hikes?,”  (Cincinnati) Business Courier, May 31, 2012).

According the annual “Behind the Numbers” report, the rate of growth is slowing because of the sluggish economy, increased efforts to contain costs and decreased health utilization.
