ACA fate may already be decided, though court won't announce until June

As of this afternoon, the nine Supreme Court justices very well could have already decided the fate of the Affordable Care Act, although their decision will not be made public until late June (Source: “Justices set to take own ballot on health care,” Associated Press via Columbus Dispatch, March 30, 2012).

After hearing three days of oral arguments earlier this week, the justices held a private conference today where an initial vote was expected to be taken. The preceeding was expected to take less than an hour.

After the vote, the justices will set out to write opinions on the case. However, after reading drafts of each other’s opinions, the justices could still change their vote.
