Ohio AG DeWine joins lawsuit against Obama contraceptive rule

Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine has joined six other states, Catholic groups and individuals in the first major lawsuit challenging the Obama administrations new contraceptive regulations (Source: “DeWine joins lawsuit over Obama birth-control rule,” Columbus Dispatch, Feb. 24, 2012).

The other states to join the lawsuit are Florida, Michigan, Nebraska, Oklahoma, South Carolina and Texas.

“I continue to have grave concerns that despite President Obama’s so-called accommodation, the United States government is intent on implementing rules that violate religious liberty,” DeWine said in a statement.
