Two Ohio community health centers get HHS grants

The federal Health and Human Services department announced Tuesday that it will be awarding $28 million in grants to help establish new community health centers (Source: “HHS awards $28 million for community health centers,” The Hill (blog), Aug. 9, 2011).

Among the 67 recipients that will be sharing the money are two from Ohio: Southeast Inc. and Lower Light Christian Health Center, Inc., both of which are based in Columbus. Southeast was awarded $557,313 and Lower Light was given $379,167 according to a HHS press release
