HPIO Welcomes 7 New Board Members

The Health Policy Institute of Ohio is pleased to announce that it has added seven new members to its Board of Directors. The new directors are all community or health leaders, bringing with them a diversity of experience with health policy issues in various regions of the state. 

The new members are: 

  • Jeff Biehl (Columbus), President, Access HealthColumbus 
  • Angela Cornelius Dawson (Columbus), Executive Director, Ohio Commission on Minority Health 
  • Dr. Lesli Johnson (Athens), Assistant Professor, Voinovich School of Leadership and Public Affairs, Ohio University 
  • Jan Ruma (Toledo), Vice President, Hospital Council of Northwest Ohio 
  • Jim Schwab (Cincinnati), President and Chief Executive Officer, The Health Foundation of Greater Cincinnati 
  • Dr. Craig Thiele (Dayton), Chief Medical Officer, CareSource 
  • Shiloh Turner (Cincinnati), Vice President for Community Investment, Greater Cincinnati Foundation

The new members were appointed at the Board of Directors’ quarterly meeting last week and will begin their three-year terms in October. The addition of the new directors expands HPIO’s board to 18 members.
