Ohio Senate OKs constitutional amendement exempting state from ACA
The Ohio Senate voted this week to allow a constitutional amendment on the Nov. 8 ballot exempting Ohio from the federal Affordable Care Act (Source: “Senate OKs ballot proposal on federal health care overhaul,” Dayton Daily News, June 16, 2011).
The legislation now goes to the House of Representatives where a three-fifths majority, or 60 votes, will be needed for passage.
