HPIO announces new Health Policy Associate

Health Policy Institute of Ohio President Amy Rohling McGee announced Monday the naming of Reem Aly as the Institute’s new Health Policy Associate. Aly will work closely with the rest of the policy team at HPIO to provide state policymakers with the information and analysis they need to create sound health policy.

Most recently, Aly worked as an Administrative Resident at Nationwide Children’s Hospital, where she took on various projects including advising senior administration and medical staff on the impact of healthcare related policies and legislation.  She is expected to earn a master’s of health administration degree next month at The Ohio State University College of Public Health. In 2009, Aly earned a law degree from The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law.

Aly, who will join HPIO in mid-June, replaces Lisa Frazier, who is entering the doctoral program at The Ohio State University John Glenn School of Public Affairs.

“We are very excited to have someone of Aly’s caliber joining the staff of HPIO,” Rohling McGee said. “Her educational and professional experience in health policy and law will make her a tremendous asset to our team.”
