House budget plan would restore some nursing home cuts
The Ohio House leadership announced its budget plan this afternoon and among them is a proposal to reduce cuts to nursing homes (Source: “Likely state budget changes: End estate tax, aid local governments,” Columbus Dispatch, April 28, 2011).
Among the approximately 200 changes by GOP legislators to Gov. John Kasich’s original plan is one to direct as much as $200 million to nursing homes to offset $740 million in cuts proposed by Kasich.
