Amy Rohling McGee named HPIO President

The Board of Directors of the Health Policy Institute of Ohio announced last week that Amy Rohling McGee has been named the Institute’s president, effective November 22.

“After an extensive national search, it was clear that Ms. McGee’s impressive background and knowledge of health policy made her the ideal candidate to lead HPIO and further the organization’s mission of providing nonpartisan research and analysis that can inform policymakers and lead to improved health for all Ohioans,” said Board President Joseph San Filippo in a press release.

McGee most recently served as an executive assistant for Health and Human Services Policy in the Governor's Office, focusing on opportunities to improve access to high quality health care and decrease the cost of health services.  As the Interim Director of the Executive Medicaid Management Administration since December 2009, she also worked to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the Medicaid program.  Previously she was the Executive Director of the Ohio Association of Free Clinics.
