HPIO accepting nominations for 2009 Health Policy Research Awards

The Health Policy Institute of Ohio is accepting nominations for its 2009 Health Policy Research Awards. The awards honor outstanding research relevant to state health policy by Ohio-based faculty, students, and non-academic practitioners.

Nominations are encouraged from a broad range of health policy topics, including issues such as health care access, health care administration, health care financing, community health, health education, public health, health promotion, environmental health, behavioral health, mental health, applied epidemiology and allied health. The awards scoring process will prioritize health topics that emphasize community and population-based policy recommendations.

The deadline for submission is Nov. 9 and winners will be recognized during a special awards luncheon on Dec. 10.
