Ohio Health Quality Improvement Team soliciting feedback

On Monday, the Ohio Health Quality Improvement Team outlined details of its draft Ohio Health Quality Improvement Plan (pdf, 24 pages) at a public forum in Reynoldsburg.

The plan builds upon the work started at November’s three-day Ohio Health Quality Improvement Summit.

The November event engaged more than 180 individuals interested in aggressively pursuing health reform. Participants at that event developed a set of strategies and tactics that would optimize the health of Ohioans across the continuum of care from prevention through end of life. Since the Summit, a number of participants have used that work to develop the Ohio Health Quality Improvement Plan.

Monday’s event included many of those who attended the November 2008 Summit, but also was open to others interested in health system transformation in Ohio who could not attend the three-day Summit. The goal of the April 27 event was to assess reaction and obtain feedback to the plan and the work of the OHQIS core team in the intervening months.

Revisions to the plan may be made prior to its completion in mid-May, based on comments and questions received at the forum, as well as through a follow-up survey. Anyone, regardless of whether they attended either the Summit or Monday’s event, is welcome to respond to the survey.
