Ohio Business Roundtable releases roadmap for reforming the state’s healthcare system

The Ohio Business Roundtable has released its report outlining recommendations for health reform in the state.

“Healthcare reform is center stage here in Ohio and across the nation,” according to a BRT statement.  “And Improving Ohio’s Health System shows how one state – with inspired business leadership working in partnership with policymakers, health professionals and other stakeholders – can rise to the occasion.”

The statement went on to say that, “Improving Ohio’s Health System calls for actions that will bring the trajectory of healthcare spending down, while at the same time improving quality, access and the health of Ohio’s citizenry.  It offers workable solutions for those who share the Business Roundtable’s belief that the cost of poor health has tremendous consequences for quality of life and the strength of Ohio’s economy.”
