Obama to host White House meeting on health reform
President Barack Obama is planning to invite members of Congress and other stakeholders to the White House as early as late march to begin working on a health reform plan (Source: "Obama to host meeting on health care," Politico.com, Jan. 21, 2009).
Although some have voiced concern that the current economic climate would mean postponing health reform, "Obama and his point person on health care, former Senate Majority Leader Tom Daschle, have staffed up like they plan to push forward with (health reform), lining up a roster of communications and policy strategists to assist in the effort," according to the report on Politico.com.
