In the newly created position within the Ohio Department of Development, he’ll be charged with growing and retaining insurance companies in the state.

"With Ohio's insurance industry growth outpacing the industry's national growth, this new role is designed to work intimately with our insurance industry to position Ohio as an attractive location for an insurer to expand or locate," Lt. Gov. Lee Fisher said in a release.

Raussen had served three terms in the House and was chair of the Healthcare Access and Affordability Committee. He also served on the Health and Insurance committees.
