Four Ohio Children's Hospitals Rank in top 15 in the U.S.

U.S News and World Report released in national ranking of best performing children's hospitals (Source: "U.S. News & World Report ranks four Ohio children's hospitals in Top 15," Plain Dealer, May 30, 2008).  The 2007 report ranked four of Ohio's children's hospitals among the top 15 in the United States.

According to this report, Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center ranked 3rd nationally with Rainbow Babies and Children ranking 5th.  The Cleveland Clinic Children's Hospital came in 14th while Nationwide Children's Hospital ranked 15th.

The report examined six different areas: cancer; digestive; heart; neonatal; neurology; and respiratory.  Rainbow Babies and Children scored highest in neonatalogy, ranking second in the country.  The Cleveland Clinic Children's Hospital ranked fourth nationally for neurology.  Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center ranked in the top ten in all the areas except neurology.  Nationwide Children's Hospital ranked ninth in the areas of digestive and heart.
