Corlett to be named new Ohio Medicaid director

The Columbus Dispatch is reporting that John Corlett, "one of the state’s leading health and human-services advocates," will become Ohio's new Medicaid director. (Source: "Corlett will be state Medicaid director," November 6, 2007.) According to the article, "Corlett will replace Cristal Thomas, who is poised to take charge of the Executive Medicaid Management Administration, a new office that will manage Medicaid policies enacted in the current state budget and oversee implementation of recommendations of the Medicaid Administrative Study Council and a recent state Medicaid audit." Corlett currently serves as the director of public policy and advocacy for the the Center for Community Solutions in Cleveland and served as a health care policy adviser for Governor Strickland's transition team.
