Ohio HIT summit to be held Oct. 29
Tomorrow is the last day to register for the fourth annual Ohio Health Information Technology Summit, to be held Monday, October 29, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:15 p.m. in Columbus. Among the speakers will be Governor Ted Strickland. For more information or to register, go here.
On a side note, NPR has an article about Google and Microsoft's new online products for storing patients' medical records. While the article doesn't address how these products will address potential privacy and security concerns, the reporter states that the market appears to "wide open" as between 75 and 90% of all doctors records are still on paper.
