Online event

Thursday, June 25, 2026

1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m.

Healthy food access is foundational to health, and food insecurity is connected to poor nutrition, diet-related chronic disease and higher health care costs. Federal leaders are increasingly promoting nutrition-focused strategies as part of broader chronic disease prevention efforts. At the same time, proposed changes to Medicaid and SNAP are expected to reduce support for many individuals and families struggling to access healthy food and manage chronic conditions.

This webinar will examine opportunities to address hunger and improve health through nutrition strategies in Ohio amid changing federal priorities and funding pressures.

Speakers & panelists:

  • Grace Wagner, Director of Health Initiatives, Ohio Association of Food Banks
  • Kristen Matlack, Manager of Social Care Initiatives, MetroHealth
  • Debbie Serenius, Director of Health Partnerships, Produce Perks Midwest
  • Shane Benton, Food Access Manager, Rural Action
  • And more to be announced!
