HPIO forum to detail findings from 2023 Health Value Dashboard

(COLUMBUS, Ohio) – The Health Policy Institute of Ohio is hosting a forum in Columbus from 10:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. May 1 to present the findings of its 2023 Health Value Dashboard.

This is the fifth edition of the Dashboard, which is released every two years to measure health value in Ohio compared to other states and D.C. The state’s health value rank is determined by combining Ohio’s performance on population health and healthcare spending measures.

The Dashboard is an excellent resource for reporters, containing more than 100 data metrics and spotlighting policy options that Ohio leaders can take to improve the state’s health value rank. The Dashboard also includes equity profiles that explore gaps in outcomes among groups of Ohioans and analysis of the barriers to health that contribute to those gaps.

The forum will include discussion of the key findings from the Dashboard and insight from state and national experts on evidence-informed strategies that can lead to improved population health, equity and reduced healthcare spending.

More details, including speaker information, are available at:

The last day to register for the forum is this Friday, April 21, and members of the media can register for free using the code MEDIA.

Editor’s note: An embargoed copy of the 2023 Health Value Dashboard will be released to media members prior to its public release on Friday, April 28.
