The Health Policy Institute of Ohio is partnering with Franklin County Public Health to host a two-part event focused on preventing and mitigating Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs).
A panel featuring local organizations will highlight innovative programs addressing ACEs. HPIO will share recent analysis of strategies to prevent ACEs and provide resources and guidance for coalition-building and advocacy.

Part 1: Laying the Foundation
Keynote speaker
Dr. Wendy Ellis, Director of the Center for Community Resilience at George Washington University Milken Institute School of Public Health, will detail the Center's Building Community Resilience approach.
Speaker
Dr. Lauren Forbes, Policy Director at Joining Forces for Children, will talk about Cincinnati's community-wide collective impact initiative that aims to improve child health and development by reducing the effects of toxic stress.

All Franklin County partners are encouraged to stay for a convening to:
Network and learn from organizations doing ACEs prevention and mitigation work
Work toward a collective, coordinated and actionable plan for addressing ACEs in Franklin County
Cancellation Policy: Cancellations must be made in writing to Alana Clark-Kirk (aclarkkirk@hpio.net). The last day to cancel registration for a full refund is one week prior to the event (June 10, 2024). Refunds will not be issued for cancellations received after June 10, 2024. If you do not send us notification of cancellation prior to the event on June 17, 2024, you will be required to remit the full amount of the registration fee. Those who do not remit payment will be required to pay in advance for any future events.
CEU credit: This course will be submitted to the National Association of Social Workers for 2.25 hours of social work CEUs.
