In order to ensure access to care for all Ohioans, HPIO educates state policymakers and the people who influence them by providing concise, comprehensive and easy-to-understand information and analysis on the topic. HPIO is an objective source for unbiased analysis of data, research, and state/federal laws and regulations.

The Health Policy Institute of Ohio, through support from the HealthPath Foundation of Ohio, has released a report on the economic downturn’s impact on safety net services in Ohio and other states’ strategies to monitor safety net change.
- 2010 Ohio Medicaid Atlas
(August 2010) Provides a statistical and visual display of comparative information about Medicaid across all of the state's counties.
