Prior Event Registration

The Ohio Hospital Association, the Health Policy Institute of Ohio, and HTP Inc. are presenting two opportunities to hear about the Utah Health Information Network.  Please see below for details of each event.  The events are free, but we ask that if you are planning to attend, that you register so that we can ensure room for all.

UHIN: A Statewide RHIO Success Case

Bart Killian, the executive director of Utah Health Information Network will discuss the statewide health information exchange that is in place in Utah. UHIN has been self-sustaining since its inception, in 1993. The organization has successfully engaged diverse members of the healthcare community. Information in Utah is currently exchanged electronically between hospitals, state government, payers (including Medicaid and Medicare), physicians, laboratories, pharmacies, consumer groups, and commercial parties such as banks.

Several local RHIOs in Ohio, in varying states of implementation, have been invited to give short presentations on their efforts. Following these presentations, Bart Killian, the executive director of Utah Health Information Network will discuss the statewide health information exchange that is in place in Utah.
